We worked closely with the director of the Brubeck Institute to rebrand the annual Brubeck Festival, Summer Jazz Colony and the Institute itself. The projects included a variety of event collateral and institutional publications.
The designs were the result of an exceptional client-designer relationship. We wanted to push the project creatively, in the spirit of jazz legend Dave Brubeck himself. Our goal was to have the festival posters become keepsake art pieces and bring the prestige of the event to a new level. We created new, custom artwork for a four year series of festival posters. The new designs helped increase event attendance, were used as advancement leave-behind pieces and garnered three national design awards. Congratulations from the late Dave Brubeck and his wife Iola were icing on the cake.
Tired of forgetting our favorite wines, we partnered with an iOS developer to co-create a mobile product of our own, Memorable Wines. We fine-tuned countless wireframe sketches, poured over Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and hashed out how Xcode could bring our idea to life. We created an interface focused on simplicity, ease of use and beautiful design. Memorable Wines has been featured on the App Store as New & Noteworthy, Staff Favorite in the US and Europe and was featured in The New York Times tech blog. It has over 250,000 downloads and thousands of users world-wide.
We recently redesigned the interface for a future v2.0 update.

IDENTITY / WEB / MOBILE / PRINT
We have worked on a variety of UI, web and print projects for different units and research stations within the Forest Service including the Climate Change Resource Center, Rocky Mountain Research Station and Sustainable Operations. While keeping in mind USDA graphic standards, we work closely and iteratively with Forest Service project managers to create dynamic, engaging publications and digital tools that fit their specific needs within the organization.
We designed, art directed the photography, coordinated the writing, and facilitated the print production for four viewbooks for UOP: Liberal Arts, Engineering, Pharmacy and Education. The School of Education viewbook received an Award of Excellence from the University and College Designers Association.
