“The Life You Want to Live Starts Here” — Our carefully worded cover message speaks directly to high school seniors weighing their options for college. PKDA designed this viewbook for the liberal arts college at University of the Pacific not only as an authentic glimpse into student life, but also to show the value a liberal arts education has in the real world.

To stand out from the countless recruitment brochures a prospective student receives, we recommended a young, energetic and authentic feel throughout the entire piece. This direction was reflected in every design decision we made. Our story-telling strategy included spotlighting current students, faculty, and alumni with candid, on-campus photography paired with casual, engaging profile stories. Hand-drawn graphic elements remind you that this 159-year-old university is still the perfect place for a forward-thinking undergrad.

As important as it was to be young and authentic, it was just as critical to communicate the return on investment this private liberal arts education offers.
We wanted to be clear that a graduate from this college can expect great opportunities in the job market, and supported this idea with successful alumni outcome stories and photography.
